By Jay Levi

It happened so fast, one punch at the end of the sixth round, Juan Manuel Marquez, knocked out the once indestructible Manny Pacquiao.

There was shock and awe surrounding the arena, cheers of joy from the Marquez fans, and silence and worry after Pacquiao didn’t get up and lie face down on the canvas for over two minutes, motionless without a reaction. Fans didn’t leave the arena until the saw that Pacquiao was okay and able to awake from his temporary nap.

Once everything was okay, the fans cheered. Marquez was elated, this was the happiest moment of his entire career, he had chased this day for 8 years after what he claims was 3 robberies against Pacquiao, and from the look of Marquez’s bloody and cut face you could see the smile and joy knowing in the end all the hardwork and pain paid off.

Juan Manuel Marquez knocks down Manny Pacquiao with an overhand right during their welterweight bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 8, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What’s next for Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, well there could be a 5th showdown, fans will pay to see another fighter like the one last Saturday, it was full of toe to toe action, suspense, and it ended in a sensational knockout, everybody who ordered the bout felt they got their moneys worth from the fight. The other option is for both fighters to retire, Pacquiao suffered a scary knockout and his family doesn’t want to have to go through that kind of moment again, Marquez could retire and go off into the sunset as one of the greatest heroes in Mexican boxing, the win was so big in Mexico that Marquez will meet the Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and give him his fight gloves he used to knockout Pacquiao as an honor.
