The 29-year-old former lead singer of Destiny’s child, is expecting her first child with husband Rapper Jay-Z, Us Weekly reports in their newest issue.
Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have been married since 2008 and the announcement comes as a shock to many, because Beyonce had expressed that she wasn’t ready to have kids yet.
Jay-Z, 40, on the other hand, had expressed his desire to become a father for a long time.
Beyonce and Jay-Z are considered one of the most powerful and highest earning couples in the entertainment industry right up there with Will Smith and his wife actress Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Us Weekly reporter, Rebecca Bienstock, said Beyonce is currently in her first trimester and the couple is “very, very excited” about the pregnancy and becoming new parents.
Kevin Liles a friend of the power couple told Us Magazine, “Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he’s always going to be,” record executive Kevin Liles has known Jay-Z for years. “I wish them the best.”
