Minnesota rapper Michael Larsen, who went under the name Eyedea passed away on Oct. 16 at the age of 28.
Eyedea died in his sleep at his St. Paul home on Saturday according to Kathy Averill the rappers mom in a report by The Associated Press.
Larsen was a popular freestyle rapper on the underground circuit and he and childhood buddy Max Keltgen also known as Abilities recorded 3 albums together as the group Eyedea and Abilities.
They were signed by Minneapolis hip hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment, a record label owned by the rap group Atmosphere.
Larsen’s mother said he has been rapping since the late 90’s and had a passion for music — touching the lives of others through his rhymes and poetry.
